Koncert íránského hudebníka Šahába Tolouiea a jeho kapely a projekce filmu Poslední krok (88′)

Večer hudby a filmu začne v 19:30 ve čtvrtek 8. ledna. Budete mít možnost ochutnat íránskou kuchyně a usednout do polstrovaných sedaček kina Royal, kde ve 20:00 začne koncert íránského hudebníka Šahába Tolouie.

Šaháb Tolouie je íránský skladatel, kytarista, zpěvák a hudebník, spojující různé hudební styly. Jako první mísí styly zemí s tak silnou hudební tradicí jako je Írán a Španělsko a vytváří tak osobitou syntézu perské hudby a flamenca.

Po koncertě bude od 21:00 následovat projekce filmu Poslední krok, kterou osobně uvede režisér Alí Mosaffá.

Film Poslední krok, uhrančivý příběh íránského páru v době před, během a po manželově smrti, je poetickým zamyšlením nad láskou a smrtí v současném Teheránu. V roce 2005, po letech úspěšné herecké kariéry, debutoval Alí Mosaffá komorním psychologickým dramatem Portrét neznámé ženy (Símá-je zaní dar dúrdast), který byl uveden v hlavní soutěži MFF Karlovy Vary 2005. Poslední krok je Mosaffovým druhým celovečerním filmem, který na festivalu v Karlových Varech získal první cenu mezinárodních kritiků FIPRESCI za nejlepší film a cenu za nejlepší ženský herecký výkon herečky Lejly Hátemí.

The beautiful and charming Royal cinema will host an evening of Iranian music and film accompanied by handpicked Iranian delicacies served by our favorite Klub cestovatelů.

On January 8th, the Night of Music and Film takes off at 19:30 PM and everybody can enjoy a little bit of the delicious finger food and settle down at the cushy armchairs of Royal cinema until 8:00 PM when Shahab Tolouie and his band take over the stage.

Shahab Tolouie is an Iranian composer, fusionist, guitarist and singer who is known as the pioneer of an exciting exploration smelting musical traditions of the two powerful musical lands of Iran and Spain by combining them into his own expression of Persian and Flamenco fusion.

The performance will be followed by the screening of The Last Step at 21:00 PM with an introduction to the film by Ali Mosaffa; the director of the film.

A poetic meditation on love and death in contemporary Tehran, The Last Step is a compelling tale of an Iranian couple before, during and after the husband’s death. Ali Mosaffa shot his first acclaimed directorial debut Portrait of a Lady Faraway in 2005 which premiered in competition at the Karlovy Vary IFF. The Last Step is Ali’s second feature film and has won FIPRESCI Prize for Best Film and the Best Actress Award in Karlovy Vary film IFF.

And this will mark the first night of Iranian Music and Film in Prague.
