Zámek Rosice

The chateau is a landmark of the town of Rosice. It was created by converting a Gothic castle at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. Its first known owners were Bohuš and Hartman of Rosice; ownership later changed hands. Inside, note the Renaissance wall paintings and stucco ceilings on the first floor. A fireplace from the Baroque period has also been preserved. Interesting Romantic additions from the second half of the 19th century can be found throughout the building. Also worth admiring are the staircase in the south wing, the brick niche in the retaining wall, the staircase to the first floor of the main building and more.
