Foerster Hall is located near the National Theatre.
Foerster Hall is a unique cultural venue in the centre of Prague. It is a music hall in the rectory of St Adalbert's Church, opened in 1959 to mark the centenary of the birth of composer Josef Bohuslav Foerster. Its long history is associated with the names of Antonín Dvořák, J. B. Foerster, Otakar Odstrčil and other great Czech figures. Foerster Hall and its entrance lobby, with a three-flight staircase, are considered among Prague's most significant Baroque-Classical spaces of this type.
A place with enchanting late-Baroque frescoes and a unique atmosphere. A place that for many years was a much-visited concert hall. This tradition was interrupted for a long time and is now returning to its original purpose.
