Saturday night jazz fever: J.J.BIGBAND & DASHA

Stevieho Wondera, Chicka Corei, Milese Davise, Tower Of Power, BeeGees i Billy Joela a Jamese Browna. Zazní písně jako je "September", "Night Fever", "Fantasy", "Just The Way You Are", "Peter Gunn", "Isn't She Lovely", "Sir Duke", ale rozhodně příjde i "Slunečnice", která otáčí se za sluncem... J.J. Bigband je orchestr který se před lety zformoval kolem známého trombonisty a hlavně pedagoga Jana Jakubce (Orchestr Karla Vlacha, HDK...). Ten do kapely přinesl to nejlepší z klasického světového repertoiru a založil tradici pravidelných bigbandových koncertů v pražských Čakovicích. Pod jeho vedením natočil orchestr v roce 2010 své debutové album ve studiích Českého rozhlasu v Karlíně s několika hostujícími sólisty, např. trumpetistou Janem Kejmarem, nebo zpěvačkou Terezou Krippnerovou. V poslední době se repertoir kapely zřetelně posouvá směrem k současnější tvorbě, orchestr hraje víc pop a funky a zkouší i nová aranžmá mladých českých autorů. Zároveň pokračuje ve spoluráci s někter&ya cute;mi vynikajícími instrumentalisty - trombonistou Pavlem Šírem, nebo klavíristou Ondřejem Hájkem a kromě toho příležitostně doprovází sólisty zvučných jmen i hlasů, jako je Dasha, nebo bluesová zpěvačka z amerického východního pobřeží Kaia Brown. Hostem sobotního koncertu v Le Royal bude syn zakladatele kapely, vyhledávaný basový kytarista J.J.

The band will play music by Henry Mancini, George Gershwin, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Tower Of Power, Bee Gees and Billy Joel or even James Brown. You will hear songs like "September", "Night Fever", "Fantasy", "Just The Way You Are," "Peter Gunn," "Isn't She Lovely", "Sir Duke", and for sure there will come on stage our beautiful Sunflower as well .. J.J. Bigband – the orchestra formed years ago around the famous trombonist and especially teacher Jan Jakubec (Karel Vlach Orchestra, HDK ...). To the band he brought the best of the classical bigband repertoire, and established a regular concerts in Prague - Czakovice. In 2010 the orchestra recorded it's debut album in the Czech Radio studios with several guest soloist – trumpet player John Kejmar or singer Teresa Krippner. Recently, the repertoire of the band moved toward more contemporary stuff, the orchestra plays more pop and funk and rehearsing new arrangement of young Czech artists as well. Also continuing to work with some outstanding instrumentalists - trombonist Paul Sir, or pianist Andrew Hajek and besides occasionally accompanies soloists like Dasha, or a blues singer from America's east coast Kaia Brown. The special guest of Saturday's concert at Le Royal is the son of the founder of the band, experienced bass guitarist J.J.
