Skotsko v Brně? Přijďte na horalské hry!

Silácké disciplíny, skotské dudy, kilty, tanec, whisky i keltská historie – horalské hry Brno Highland Games 2025 přinesou v sobotu 21. června 2025 jedinečné zážitky! Den plný sportu i zábavy inspirovaný skotskou kulturou proběhne v areálu Rugby Clubu v Bystrci (ul. Jakuba Obrovského 2).

Návštěvníci se mohou těšit na originální skotské disciplíny jako vrh kládou či kamenem, hod balíkem slámy do výšky, hod závažím do výšky, hod kabelkou (kamennou), farmářský běh nebo přetahování lanem. Kdo bude chtít, může všechny vyzkoušet na vlastní kůži a zasoutěžit si v nich. Pro děti bude připravená odlehčená varianta her a další zábavná stanoviště.

Určitě nebudou chybět ani skotské dudy, předtančení skupiny Feidh a výuka tradičních tanců. Milovníky dobrého jídla a pití potěší přítomnost brněnského Whisky shopu, výborné jídlo a řemeslné pivo. Na podiu vystoupí například kapela Bar Fast the Door, do historie nás vtáhne keltská vesnice, kde ožívá doba železná, i další uskupení.

Scotland in Brno? Come to the Highland Games!

Strength competitions, bagpipes, kilts, dancing, whisky, and Celtic history – the Brno Highland Games 2025 will bring unforgettable experiences on Saturday, June 21, 2025!
A full day of sports and fun inspired by Scottish culture will take place at the Rugby Club Bystrc (Jakuba Obrovského 2).

Visitors can look forward to authentic Scottish events such as the caber toss, stone put, sheaf toss, weight for height, “purse” throw (with a stone), farmer’s walk, and tug-of-war.
Those who want to can try them all and compete! There’ll also be a lighter version of the games and fun activities specially prepared for kids.

Of course, there’ll be traditional Scottish bagpipes, a performance and dance workshop by Feidh, and plenty of ceilidh dancing.
Fans of good food and drink will be thrilled with the Brno Whisky Shop, delicious food, and craft beer.
On stage, you’ll enjoy live music from bands like Bar Fast the Door, and history will come alive in the Celtic village, where the Iron Age returns for a day – along with other special guests and performers!
