Ecuador – The Land of Three Worlds

Ecuador – a country on the equator – holds several different worlds within its borders, from the hot Pacific coast through the glaciated peaks of the Andes to the impenetrable tropical rainforests of the Amazon. And it is precisely these three worlds that we will explore. We will visit blue-footed boobies on the Pacific island of Isla de la Plata, climb the active volcano Cotopaxi as well as Chimborazo, the farthest point from the center of our planet, and spend most of our time in the Amazon, in all its beauty and tragedy.

The presentation will be guided by geographer Katka Kovářová, so you can look forward to a variety of fascinating geographical, geological, and botanical fun facts.
