O akci

Láska, touha, odloučení i naděje na shledání. City, které překonávají vzdálenost i staletí.

Tematický večer Amour de loin (Láska z dálky) zve své posluchače na jedinečnou hudební cestu do dob středověké a raně renesanční Evropy, v němž se láska stávala inspirací básníků, trubadúrů a hudebních skladatelů.

Prostřednictvím milostných písní, dvorské poezie i duchovních skladeb ožívají příběhy nenaplněných citů, věrnosti, obdivu a touhy po nedosažitelném. Hudba, která vznikala před více než šesti sty lety, překvapuje svou bezprostředností, křehkostí a nadčasovou krásou.

Jednotlivé skladby dohromady vytvářejí hudební obraz doby, v níž se světská a duchovní inspirace přirozeně prolínaly a hudba dokázala vyjádřit to, co slova sama nedovedla.

o prostoru:

Historie Domu U Kamenného zvonu sahá až do 13. století. Jedna z významných teorií říká, že v tomto sále mohli sídlit Jan Lucemburský a Eliška Přemyslovna. Tento prostor tak perfektně dodá atmosféru celému večeru.

English annotation:

Love, longing, separation, and the hope of reunion. Emotions that transcend distance and centuries.

The thematic evening Amour de loin (Love from Afar) invites audiences on a unique musical journey into the world of medieval and early Renaissance Europe, where love inspired poets, troubadours, and composers alike.

Through love songs, courtly poetry, and sacred music, stories of unfulfilled affection, devotion, admiration, and longing for the unattainable come to life. Composed more than six hundred years ago, this music continues to captivate with its emotional immediacy, delicacy, and timeless beauty.

Amour de loin is an invitation into a world where love was expressed through poetry and music, transcending even the greatest distances.

about programme:

The concert programme presents a rich tapestry of European music from the 14th to the 16th centuries, bringing together French courtly lyricism, Italian polyphony, German love songs, and sacred chants from medieval Catalonia. Throughout the evening, audiences will hear works by some of the most distinguished figures in music history, including Guillaume de Machaut, Guillaume Dufay, Johannes Ciconia, Oswald von Wolkenstein, and Heinrich Isaac.

At the heart of the programme lies the medieval ideal of courtly love – admiration for the beloved, the longing for their presence, but also the pain of separation and unspoken emotions. Alongside intimate declarations of love, the concert features lively dance melodies and sacred compositions from the celebrated medieval manuscript Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, adding another dimension to the evening.

Together, these compositions create a musical portrait of an era in which secular and sacred inspiration naturally intertwined, and music could express what words alone could not.

The history of the House at the Stone Bell (Dům U Kamenného zvonu) dates back to the 13th century. According to one prominent historical theory, the building may once have served as a residence for John of Luxembourg and Elisabeth of Bohemia.

With its remarkable medieval heritage and historic atmosphere, this extraordinary venue provides the perfect setting for an evening that brings the music and emotions of centuries past back to life.
